What is the Taku Glacier Adventure by Helicopter and Airboat?2018-12-14T12:15:22-09:00

This tour is a combination tour that includes a helicopter flight, an airboat tour, and a glacier landing.  It’s 3 tours in 1!

How long is it?2018-12-14T12:15:52-09:00

The total tour time from downtown Juneau and back is 3.5 hours.  There is an hour at the beginning for transportation time, gearing up, and safety briefings before take-off time at the airport.  The actual tour time, from lift to landing, is 2 hours.

Is there a bathroom?2018-12-14T12:16:40-09:00

There is NOT a bathroom after lift off from the airport.  We have one for guests to use during the gearing up process at the airport, and also after, but for 2 hours during the actual tour there is no bathroom facility.

What should I bring?2018-12-14T12:17:11-09:00

Bring your camera, sunglasses (the glacier and water can seem bright even on overcast days), a water bottle to collect glacier water, gloves and a hat.

What should I wear?2018-12-14T12:17:53-09:00

Wear warm layers, a hat and gloves, comfortable shoes, and long pants.  We will provide rain pants, boots with cleats that slip over your shoes, and flotation protection.  It is always about 20 degrees colder on the glacier and on the water than it is in downtown Juneau, so dress accordingly.
